In
addition to the check boxes and radio buttons on the form, the questionnaire
had five sections and thirty places for parents to type in comments
and information. The contribution of additional comments and information
was entirely optional, so not all parents bothered to fill in the
text boxes, but most parents did, and some had quite a bit to say!
Parent's
comments have been edited minimally in an effort to remove all identifying
information about children, including children's names and initials,
as well as schools they are currently attending or are planning
to attend. In some cases I also removed the names of schools that
they have attended in the past. The programs and schools that are
mentioned by name provide services to relatively large numbers of
gifted children.
